JD Bats FAQs
Which JD bat can I use with a leather ball?
Only the JD Hard Bat. It is made from Kashmir willow for hard ball cricket. All other JD bats are for tape ball.
Which JD bat is best for kids?
The Dhoom Edition. It is the lightest and most affordable bat in the range, and a real wooden blade rather than a toy.
What is the difference between Rawalakot wood and coconut wood?
Rawalakot wood is very light and affordable, ideal for beginners. Double-pressed coconut wood is denser and gives more power and durability for regular tape ball players.
What makes the Player Editions different?
The Player Editions are the top of the JD range, made for club players upgrading from their first bat. The Diamond Player Edition, for example, uses seasoned coconut wood with a fuller face for more forgiveness on off-centre hits.
Does the JD Hard Bat need knocking-in?
Yes. Knock in the face before first use to get the best performance and a longer life. See our knocking-in guide.
